CIRQUE NON SEQUITUR
"With the name ‘non sequitur' suggesting some form of humorous and illogical commentary in ‘cirque', the performers of The Dust Palace certainly deliver."
Dr Karen Barbour

We initially created the show for SPLORE Festival in February 2012, the perfect opportunity to be as 'non sequitous' as we liked, fantastic!
The driving interest behind it all was in the idea of 'mythology'. We live in a mash up of mythologies, sort of a feedback loop of idols and parables.
We wanted to create another world where there were no rules, no natural laws, no pull of gravity. Where anything was possible and push ourslves to make it happen.
We all aspire to know 'the goddess', whether it be to claim her or to emboy her. We have all felt the childish desire to let go the balloon. And we all want to try fruit in the bedroom.
"But when the show's over – with a seductive striptease turning into an orgy of food and flesh – it all seems to work so well together." Tracey Cooper
